#56 - 2026

June 12 - June 16: Meg to Michigan with Nevy, Nia, Ian, Ramani, Samantha, Ellen, and Kate.
June 18: Anniversary.

• Dinner at home: Salmon, baked potato and Oregon sweet cherries.

• Shopped for new blouses for Meg, new sweatshirts for Stu.

June 19: Ellen in Ft Wayne. Meg and Ellen to Sandy Koch’s funeral.
June 21: Father’s Day celebration with Samantha, Ellen, Kate, and Chad. Dinner from Nori.
June 23: Meg took Ian to the airport to return to NYC.
June 27: Ian moved into new apartment in Wilmington NC, to start new job on Monday, 6/29.

Anniversary #55

#55 - 2025

June 3-6: Meg, Kate, Ellen, Samantha, Nevy and Nia went to Saugatuck. Chad and Stu had a three day slumber party and watched baseball. (Gail and Sam were in Iceland).
June 7-10: Nevy and Nia stayed in Fort Wayne.

Shopped at Target, watched The Trouble with Tribbles, Swam at Smith's (Zoey and her bathing suit incident, Magnolia), played lots of screentime.
Sam and Gail picked them up on their way back to Cincinnati. On the drive back Nia said to G and S, "Can I go back to Grandma and Grandpa's? They're more fun."

June 14-15: Ellen came to Fort Wayne for Father's Day. Stu rediscovered the Matthew Looney series of books.
June 15: Father’s Day with Samantha, Ellen, Kate, and Chad. Phone call with Ian for his birthday and Father's Day.
June 17: Meg went to see Mike Gallmeyer to get treatment for her never-ending pneumonia.
Anniversary, June 18: Relaxed all day. Had dinner at home (Air Fried Salmon, baked potato, corn).

June 13: Amish tour and Sweetwater Sound. Giordano's with Kate and Chad.
June 15: Trip to Wapakoneta with Nevy and Nia to meet Sam. Lunch at El Azteka.
June 16: Father's Day. Dinner with Kate and Chad.
Anniversary, June 18: Errands at USPS and UPS. Lunch at Baker Street.
June 19: Dinner with Gary at Wu's.
June 21: Anniversary Donuts from Leo Donuts.
June 23: Trip to the Grocery Store.

Anniversary, June 18: Trip to Costco: bought a Ninja Foodi Smart Grill and fresh salmon for supper. Ate steamed salmon, and baked potato for dinner (not cooked on the Ninja).
June 20: Kate's Father's Day visit (Cubs book and green tea).

Year of the coronavirus lockdown.

June 11: Deck visit with Samantha

June 13: Roger’s funeral

June 14: Met Ellen, Sam, Nevy, and Nia in Summit Lake State Park. 

June 17: Meg, visit with Y friends.

Anniversary – June 18: Visit Promenade Park and Riverfront Park. Burger King for supper (two Jr. Whoppers, two small fries, and two frozen cokes). Trip to Costco: bought fresh salmon for supper and a white cake with cheesecake inside. Ate steamed salmon, baked potato, and salad for dinner. Meg: "Better than any restaurant!"

June 20: Ellen, Kate, Ian, Samantha came over for an anniversary celebration. Received anniversary book done by Kate, Ellen, and Sam.
June 21: Father’s Day. We took some cake to Beth and Chuck and enjoyed a deck visit. Kate came over for the anniversary “Book Club.” Chad visited for a while.

June 4: Oral surgery for Stu followed by a short hospital stay and a long rest at home.

• Late garden planting because of too much rain.

Anniversary – June 18: Follow up visit to the Oral Surgeon's office, dessert at Zesto. Dinner of delicious chicken soup.
